This is a blog that is maintained and posted for the benefit of those out there looking for optimal mental health, as well as those who are just looking for information on the subject. Mental health is an important topic in our world today.  The essential dimension of mental health is clear from the definition of health in the WHO constitution: “Health is a state of complete physical, mental and social well-being and not merely the absence of disease or infirmity.” (WHO) Although community epidemiological surveys estimate that as much as 30 percent of the U.S. population has a mental or substance use disorder each year (Kessler et al., 1994; Regier et al., 1998), it is unlikely that all these people need treatment, as some of them almost certainly have mild or self-limiting disorders.  Most mental health problems in the US go untreated, and undiagnosed. We are interested in helping spread information on mental health to these people all over the country, and to help obtain that physical, mental, and social well-being. Feel free to browse the blog, and get interested in optimal mental health!
